Why hello there π Welcome to my new blog.
I know most people do new beginning blogs at the start of the year, but it’s taken me a bit longer to decide who I want the new me to be. You see, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I’ve realised I’m not really the person I thought I was. And I’m going to fix that. I’m going to do a bit of self adjustment, and we’lol see how it goes.
I’m going to be nicer, work harder in college, try and work out a bit and me true to myself. For too many years I’ve put myself down and put others before myself. And while putting others before yourself is great, it wasn’t the way I was doing it. So that’s going to change!
New year. New me.
So this blog post is just sorta a fumble of thoughts with a little introduction to my weird world in my head. It’s a funny place I must say. I’m a second year in uni studying science, for anyone who’s interested. I like baking, reading, playing video games and watching things. I’m not your average Irish 20 year old. I’m not a big drinker, don’t smoke anything of any kind and I’m very picky about my nights out, which don’t happen very often. Basically I’m more of an introvert who does trampolining in college with some of the most outgoing people in the college… Yet somehow it works. It helps that my room mate is basically my sister (who said friends shouldn’t move in together?) and we like to spend our evenings with our tea, hot water bottles and a movie (usually a terrible cheesy 80s movie while we take notes.) I’m not really sure what else to say now, so on to last nights Shenanigans ^_^
(Oh by the way, I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but this is basically an online diary/calendar for me. I want to do this for me, so I can look back when I’m 90 with my grandkids and show them how weird I was… So stop reading now if you were expecting something else… Cause there will be pictures of me and my family and friends appearing sometimes π)
So last night! We went out to celebrate my brother getting another year older by going out for dinner. And me and my brothers, we’d have a fairly typical boy/girl sibling relationship in that our favourite thing to do is annoy each other (and I’m the youngest by the way). So during the week I sent him his birthday card, which called him old and I filled it with two bags of confetti. We live in different counties, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I got a single word text from him when he opened the card.
‘Bitch’
The confetti went EVERYWHERE in his apartment, and apparently almost a week later they’re still picking it up π Naturally though, I wasn’t done being annoying. His present was small in size, and the original plan was to wrap it in a giant box because we had one from a big pc monitor my other brother just bought. But then we were meeting them at a restaurant so that wouldn’t work. So I thought of another plan. I’m kinda craftsy so I have lots of random stuff, and one thing I
havehad lots of, was glitter. I put tissue paper into the bottom of a toblerone packet, popped his present inside with some glow sticks for weight, and on top of that… 2 pots of glitter. 2 full pots of multicoloured glitter. Then I wrapped it all up and waited for the right moment. We decided dessert was a good time. He soon realised what was going on, which actually made it funnier, because he thought he was great getting the glow sticks out without spilling the glitter. He wasn’t impressed when I said his actual present was further down xD But he got it out eventually and then came the messing.
Until this point, there was only a small bit of glitter about the place, but I come from a family of messers. So the birthday boy decided it was a great idea to turn the glitter out into the sleeve of my other brothers hoody which was on the couch beside him. Then the throwing started which ended with both of my brothers head to toe in glitter, looking very bedazzled, facial hair and all! It was PRICELESS! I did feel kinda bad for the waitress because I asked her for a dustpan and brush to clean it up because we weren’t going to leave them to do it, but she wouldn’t give it to us. But I think she was also amused looking at my two brothers, towering over her ( they’re both around 6 ft) covered in glitter! Especially hilarious was the birthday boy, who is currently rocking a cast on his arm which is now covered in glitter. π He has this on til mid February!
Then we headed home, car and taxi covered in glitter, and played board games which is hilarious when you’re the only fully sober one! XD The yes/no game, after dinner trivia, camera effects and a game of scrabble combines for a great night consisting of many laughter inducing dying fits and sore stomachs cause it was just hilarious! Trapsing up to bed at 5 in the morning is less fun though… I like my sleep!
Sex, toy, sag and size all appeared beside each other but if was totally unintentional and actually took a while for us to notice xD But then we died laughing because we’re immature and it was funny!
I was showing my amazing glow sticks. But also laughing to myself cause look at my tile board :’) (no I didn’t use it as a word by the way)
Yay camera effects making my brother look like one of those statues on Easter egg island xD
And to top it off, the favourite of the family slept in my room last night cause she kept crying in the kitchen βΊοΈ She’s so spoiled.
And yes, this is actually how she sleeps most of the time but we don’t know why. Our little weirdo β€
So that’s it, my first entry done and dusted π Here’s hoping I can be a bit more consistent than with previous blogs! Which I should be cause I’ve a tablet now and I don’t have to use my computer all the time. But the editing seems to be lacking on the tablet version so I might have to post and then quickly edit on my computer next time ^^ (like how the first scrabble pic is upside down)
So baaaaaiiiiii ~
I like your blog alreadyy! And it’d be really awesome if you look back at this blog/online journal with your grandkids. (:
